It was going to be a bit of a Muddled trip for Momma Nellie and Me to Manly as there was trackwork. We Meandered across the road to the bustop and soon Mounted the steps of our Motorbus to Punchbowl Station, and had to change trains at Sydenham. I Managed to resist the Momentary urge to Throw Momma From The Train and so we Moved on to another Motorbus for the run from Central to Circular Quay. Manly ferry here we come!
It was quite a Mild crossing and it seemed like but a Moment before the ferry Moored at Manly Wharf.
As I was going out for dinner we stopped for a light Meal at Maccas - Munched My way through a rump steak McWrap which proved quite a tasty Morsel (good suggestion Nellie).
Meandered our way down The Corso past the lovely old St Matthews church and the equally lovely old Ocean Beach Tea Rooms building from 1898.
On to the Magnificent Manly Beach to go for a paddle, naturally we Managed to get our shorts splashed and Mountains of sand stuck between our toes.
In Mighty need of a caffeine hit we stopped at Three Beans Cafe for a Mocha, as we sat and watched the Masses Moving by. Of course no visit to Manly would ever be complete without an ice-cream so we stopped at Movenpick - Mint choc chip for Me and Maple walnut for Momma. Mmmmm ice-cream!
Back to the ferry for an even More Muddled trip home - best laid plans of Mice and Men - Missed the bus from Penshurst by Mere seconds, never Mind, it couldn't Mar what had been a Magnificent day out.
Magnificent Manly
