"L is for Leichhardt"

Nothing in the wardrobe in Lavender so it was Lime today - Lime t-shirt, Lime earrings, even "West Indian Lime Leatherwood Beeswax Lip Balm". Add a Lovely Lemon Leather flower brooch that was Mum's and a splash of L'Aimant and I was ready at Last to Leave the house.
Leaped on board the bus for Punchbowl to take the next Bankstown Line train to Redfern to meet up with the Lovely Nellie to go to Lunch at Leichhardt. We Loaded ourselves into Nellie's Little Polo and ended up taking the Long way round as we were busy Lollygagging and missed the turn into Norton Street. We had to turn Left, and Left, and Left, Laughing out Loud when we then couldn't turn right.

We Located Leichhardt at Last and Looked for all our Loose change to feed the parking machine. Passed the Lovely old Town Hall, and took a Leisurely stroll down and back up Norton Street is search of Lasagne or Linguine for Lunch.
Caffe Moretti was full of a Large, Loquacious crowd so we figured the food would be worth the Lengthy wait for a table - and we were right. No Lasagne or Linguine, instead we stuck with the Lime theme and had a Lemon Lime and bitters, Patatine (chips) with a Lime Mayo and bruschetta for appetisers, followed by Scaloppine Al Limone. Absolutely Lucious Lunch.
We sat by the window as we Lingered over our Lazy, Late Lunch Looking at the Locals Lope by, sipping our Lattes. At Last it was time to move the car so we weren't Liable for a parking fine, and then we took the time for a Leisurely Look through the shops. We found Lily candles in the Dollar King and Lime gas Lighters in Howards Storage World. We Loved the masks in The Merchant of Venice shop, Lusted after the Leather bags in Florence Travel Goods next door, and of course we had to look around the pre-Loved books in Berkelouws - I'm sure that's a Law for Librarians.

Last stop was the Ladies (Loos/Latrines/Lavatories - or as my dear Dad would have said  -we went off to water the Laver Trees) before Nellie gave me a Lift to our Lodgings for the night - my own Home Sweet Home.
